Amanda Fields, Executive Director

Amanda Fields brings more than 25 years of nonprofit leadership, education, workforce development, membership, and event-planning experience to the Roofing Contractors Association of Washington.

Before joining RCAW, Amanda spent more than 20 years with the Building Industry Association of Washington, beginning as a receptionist and advancing to Education Director. She also worked with the Washington Council of Police and Sheriffs and the Thurston County Chamber of Commerce. While at the Chamber, she helped coordinate free construction training throughout the PacMountain region, connected job seekers with living-wage careers in construction, and partnered with local CTE directors, manufacturers, and construction professionals to help develop a unified manufacturing and construction curriculum for Thurston County high school students.

Throughout her career, Amanda has administered scholarship programs for BIAW, WACOPS, and the Thurston County Chamber, and served as administrator of the Built Green® Washington program. She has also planned and managed a wide variety of events, including conferences, awards programs, membership events, golf tournaments, fundraisers, and community celebrations.

Amanda is passionate about strengthening the roofing industry through education, advocacy, workforce development, professional relationships, and meaningful member engagement. She is committed to helping RCAW grow while providing members with valuable programs, resources, and opportunities.

Amanda lives in Olympia with her husband, Don, an Army veteran and roofing estimator. They have two adult children and a grandson, and they share their home with their rescue pets, Lucy Lou (Dog), Bella, and Bruce (Cats). Amanda is proud to come from a multigenerational military family and was raised by her mother, Nita, an Army veteran and brain cancer survivor.

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, traveling, swimming, white water rafting, floating, kayaking, camping, hiking, riding dirt bikes, using power tools, and picking blueberries at her family’s Olympia-area blueberry farm.
