My name is Taylor Shores, and I am the Founder and CEO of High Point Gutter. I started the company in 2016 with little more than a willingness to work hard, learn continuously, and serve people well. Looking back, I am deeply grateful for the Lord’s providence and faithfulness. What began as a small operation out of my garage has grown into a thriving company serving homeowners, builders, and property managers across Washington. The growth has never been about building a name for myself; it has been about stewarding opportunities well, caring for people, and pursuing excellence in a trade that plays an important role in protecting homes and businesses.

I am a husband, father, and a Christ follower. My faith shapes how I view leadership, work, and success. I believe every good gift comes from God, and that business is ultimately stewardship, not an ownership. That conviction influences the culture we strive to build at High Point Gutter, one marked by integrity, transparency, discipline, gratitude, and a commitment to doing things the right way, even when it costs more or takes longer. While our company specializes in gutters, our larger mission is simple: keep customers happy and dry.

One of the things I appreciate most about the construction industry is that none of us succeed alone. The best contractors are constantly learning, sharing knowledge, raising standards, and helping one another improve. Although gutters are often viewed as a niche trade, they are an essential part of every roofing system and every building envelope. I am passionate about helping bridge that gap by bringing greater awareness, professionalism, and collaboration between the gutter industry and the broader roofing community. Whether residential or commercial, we all benefit when contractors are committed to craftsmanship, safety, and long-term customer success.

For that reason, I greatly respect the mission of the Roofing Contractors Association of Washington. Advocacy, continuing education, professional collaboration, and consumer awareness are not just worthy goals; they are necessary for the future health of our industry. I believe RCAW provides a valuable place for contractors and associated businesses to learn from one another, build credibility, and strengthen the trades across our state. I am honored for the opportunity to become more involved and hope to contribute in a way that serves both the membership and the next generation of roofing and exterior professionals throughout Washington.
