RCAW Back in Olympia: Meet New Roofing Lobbyist!

Mark Gjurasic and Chester Balwin, Lobbying Partners at the Washington State Capital, are glad to be speakers at the RCAW’s Annual Membership Dinner Meeting on October 24^th at the Hotel Interurban in Tukwila, WA.    

It’s important that you have “eyes and ears” before the Washington State Legislature to support beneficial legislation and oppose those that are detrimental to RCAW members, contractors and associate members that provide an essential service in Washington state.  It’s vital that RCAW also monitor agencies of government and initiatives from the Governor’s office to allow RCAW members to promote apprenticeship and education of roofers to increase the supply of labor to our industry.  

The 2025 legislative session begins on Monday, January 13 and will last 105 days – we need to be ready.  Our goal is to have RCAW have an “RCAW Olympia Day – Hike the Hill” so that our members can meet with their local lawmakers to educate them on issues important to our industry.
