On March 6, 2025, the Roofing Contractors Association of Washington (RCAW) held its prestigious Excellence in Roofing (EIR) Awards at the Tulalip Resort Casino—an evening dedicated to honoring remarkable craftsmanship and innovation in roofing across Washington State
This year’s winners exemplified top-tier performance and dedication to the roofing trade:
- 1st Place – Valentine Roofing: Winning the grand prize of $1,000, Valentine Roofing was recognized for their technically complex and visually stunning geodesic dome roofing project. Tackling multiple slope transitions and precise angle alignments, their execution combined creativity, precision, and exceptional design execution
- 2nd Place – Roofscapes NW, Inc.: Earning $500, Roofscapes NW stood out for their outstanding craftsmanship and commitment to roofing excellence—so much so that RCAW President Justin Shirley commended their work for making a “lasting positive impact on the roofing industry”
- 3rd Place: Tru Colors Contracting: Earning $250. Tru Colors Contracting helped a family whose house burnt down in a fire. They put their heart and soul into rebuilding their forever home, which included a metal roof with a total of 16 skylights. Not an easy task, but they did it and made it absolutely more reliable than before.
Winners received more than just prize money, they each were presented with a Award of Excellence from RCAW, showcased on RCAW’s digital platforms, plus an exclusive RCAW EIR Winner logo they can use on their marketing materials designed to amplify their industry visibility and credibility.
For roofing professionals eager to showcase their skills and compete in next year’s RCAW EIR awards, nominations for the 2026 Excellence in Roofing Awards will open on the RCAW website in December 2025. These prestigious awards recognize the very best in craftsmanship, innovation, and professionalism in Washington’s roofing industry. Successful submissions will require compelling ‘before and after’ photos, illustrating the transformation achieved through the project—so be sure to document your work carefully and save those visuals for your application.

- Deadline for submissions: February 2, 2026
