So call several times if you need to, not just once. o Always: § Clearly identify the issue – bill number is best if you know the bill number § Clearly state your position – Support or Oppose § Provide one or two reasons to support your position o Always be courteous when communicating with your legislators. Legislators are like most people and will usually react very negatively to rude or not-courteous contacts. o You can list more issues in a written comment, but we recommend only related issues in any single written comment.
