  • Referrals: The RCAW provides referrals to qualified contractors. Roofing contractors, manufacturers, distributors, and industry professionals can be found by either contacting the RCAW directly or on the website at www.rcaw.com. One job from an RCAW referral more than pays your membership dues for the year.

  • Roofing Training & Technology Expo: The Expo allows roofers to receive valuable training in current roofing technology, and gain hands-on skills that can be immediately implemented at work. The classes cover a wide variety of roofing techniques ranging from steep slope to low slope roofing, and from problem solving and trouble shooting to complete roof systems installation and finish details. There are four training sessions, each lasting about 1 hour, and upon completion of all four sessions they are awarded a certificate. Contests with prizes and trophies are awarded, as well as a barbecue lunch and a babysitting area for those who want to bring their families.

  • Training: Safety Monitor & Fall Protection Training is provided twice a year. RCAW also has a substantial library of training videos that can be borrowed by contacting the RCAW.

  • Legislative: RCAW, as a member of the Independent Business Association, is involved in issues that affect the roofing industry and small businesses. RCAW gets results. The following are some achievements:

    • Helped pass the most aggressive regulatory reform legislation in the nation

    • Minimized the impact of asbestos regulations on steep slope roofers

  • Safety / L& I: Direct communication with the Department of Labor & Industries keeps you and your employees up to date on current and existing regulations. The RCAW has worked with L&I to establish the following programs:

    • The first L&I approved Fall Protection Work Plan in the construction industry
